The so-called "lifetime warranty" is really a scam...

The so-called "lifetime warranty" is really a scam. My front door EZ Lock is misbehaving and won't close all the time. I darn near lost my dog as a consequence: he got out but a neighbor caught him. So, to execute on this "warranty", you have to send the lock back to Georgia. What are you supposed to do with your front door in the meanwhile? I called Delaney, they were unsympathetic, said I should buy another lock, install in temporarily, ship the original lock to them, wait, then, IF they agree to replace it, wait for it to arrive, have the original lock removed, try to return it to Home Depot or Lowes (if they accept it, USED!) and reinstall the Delaney lock. By the way, I mentioned to them that I am handicapped and would have to hire someone to do all these installs and de-installs.

So, if you are looking for a REAL lifetime warranty that you can actually use, try someone other than Delaney and EZ Lock. It isn't EZ.
