I have been to St.Paul on a separate occasion to visit the ER because of terrible abdominal pain. The wait time was about 1 to 1.5 hours if I recall (I think they put me on the express line though because of the nature of my symptoms). The nurses in the reception area were okay. Not overly friendly or rude but I get it, they see a lot of people and all kinds they just want to get down to business. I was sent to a room where I was observed by a doctor and a resident to make sure it wasn t my appendix. I want to say it took about an hour for the checkup and other tests (Pee, bloodwork, etc.) I waited about an hour after for the results and it was determined I had to get an ultrasound and another test done the next day. Then I just followed up with my family doctor after for further care, examinations etc. I suggest taking the day off if you can though because you never know how long these ER visits will be. I personally didn t have the energy to go to work after mostly for being sick/in pain.
