I have to admit that I'm not impressed with Southeast Health Group's front desk staff. Over the phone and in person they are off putting. The providers themselves are great, as well as the nursing staff, but the folks at the front desk are discourteous, and must not know Southeast's motto of "you matter...we care" because their attitudes and body language suggest that they could really care less. Improving communication between staff could also do wonders! Apparently I now have a $40 copay. I was not prepared at all to pay that because I've never ever had a copay before with our private insurance. I arrived for my doc appt. and went to get checked in. When I told the gal my name she got up and went to another office. After about 3 minutes she came back handed me the check in paperwork and told me I had aa$40 copay. I was completely surprised to hear that. When I questioned the gal that was checking me in, she replied she didn't know why. I told her I was unable to pay because I was unaware of the copay. She just shrugged her shoulders. I had to reschedule for 2 weeks out. I get that we all have crummy days and deal with difficult people, but when it's consistently the same behavior, I find myself ready to switch back to Valley Wide because their front desk staff is kind and communicative. Sorry Southeast, but your first impression via your LJ front desk staff sucks. Horribly. Do they know your motto?
