I've always loved this shop and have frequently visited and purchased items from here, from jewelry to books. However, I recently called into the shop to inquire about employment as it seems like it would be a pleasant work environment. The employee that answered the phone was extremely short and clearly not happy that I had called in. Of course I would prefer to make introductions face to face, but with the hazard of covid I thought it would be more considerate to check that they were hiring at all before I attempted to bring in a physical resume. I even tried to communicate this but the woman on the phone interrupted me to tell that should have brought a cover letter into the store, even though they aren't hiring. She then hung up in the middle of me telling her to have a nice day. Probably won't bring my business here anymore.
