Pier 39 is one of the greatest tourist destinations in the great city of San Francisco. It is a lovely place to visit on a sunny off day (Monday-Thursday). The weekends can be a bit much at Pier39 as there are a ton of people, limited parking in the garage, and wait times at restaurants and activities. I have stopped at a few restaurants, the 4D experience, the aquarium, and the donut shop-- all linked to/connected to Pier39. I think it's a place you tour to say you did it; however, SF has so much to offer you probably won't make the trip to Pier39 more than once.
