A TRUE DECEPTION
We booked through the agency for the ROMANTIC EVASION package which included accommodation + dinner + wellness path with Kneipp pools, Scottish shower, aromatherapy tub, flotation tank, drainage tank, sauna, hammam, relaxation area and herbal tea room. I specify that all this was reported not only in our brochure, but also on the hotel website and in the brochures at the hotel. After making agreements by phone about the time in which to make the wellness path, we introduce ourselves to the reception where the girl in front of us confirms the time. We settle in the room and go to the Spa. The poor girls welcome us and present us what we paid 150 euros per person for ... Of the tubs that have nothing on the Kneipp path ... Only jets of water but no pebbles ... 3 different types of tubs .. Cold, lukewarm and hot water in which the hydromassage nozzles are also broken ... Where half of them worked ... Where I am missing this. The flotation tank smelled bad. Many classic showers ... Of the beds to take herbal teas ... And the outdoor pools ... To our question about where the sauna and the Turkish bath were, we are told that ... The Turkish bath is broken and the sauna is not has existed for years. We went to the reception to speak with a manager who obviously is not there ... We ask to have an appointment for the next morning before leaving the hotel requesting a refund. In the evening we go to the restaurant where we were supposed to have a candlelit dinner ... Needless to say, we still wait to see the candle. It was a dinner where those who did not have the package ate buffet, while we had table service. Good food ... Too bad for the risotto, good but practically raw flavor. We decide to sit at the tables outside after dinner ... Old and broken chairs. In the morning we settle down to leave the room and I realize that I am not alone in the bathroom ... But an animal, a cockroach or what it was ... It was blissfully on the door jamb. We go to the reception to speak with the manager, a manager, someone who takes responsibility for managing an immense structure ... And we are told that it is Sunday and they cannot even be called. They offer us a dinner as a refund ... As if we wanted to cross Sicily again to return there. We reiterate our request for reimbursement and they refuse to say they leave the names so they would have refunded us no one knows how. Having no confidence at all and seeing the categorical refusal to speak with a manager ... Let's call the finance guard. And that's where the lady at the reception starts making a round of calls, because now it's finally possible. So at the suggestion of the finance guard, we have a sheet in which they undertake to pay the wellness program (which was 35 euros per person if I remember correctly). We decide to go anyway to the nearest financial guard ... It is by connecting during the trip, I see that they have deleted the word "sauna" from everywhere on their site ... Too bad that on Facebook and Instagram it was still possible to find these packages . In any case, they tell us that we can contact the competition guarantor. Because you can't sell something that you don't have at the expense of other structures. In the end they only refunded us 40 euros. It is a real shame because the structure is really huge, so much so that you have to travel with the car. The view is breathtaking, you look out from the balcony and you can only say Wow ... But you can't fool people, it's not fair. We had gone there to celebrate my birthday. But in the end we only felt cheated. We went away disappointed, very disappointed ... But definitely clean, after 90 minutes of showers.
