I had previously left a glowing review for this dealership. Unfortunately, something's has drastically changed over the last two years.
When we first bought our two Kia Stingers, the service department used the wrong oil in our cars for the first two oil changes on each car...
For this Kia gave my wife and I coupons for free oil changes and cabin air filters for 36,000 miles for each car.
The first time we went in they were unsure how to use the coupons and had to get a district manager involved. He approved them and everything was fine.
Second oil changes with the coupons went fine also...
Today I took my car in for the third oil change and was told they can no longer accept the coupons. And that Kia had not paid them for the last two oil changes. They said I could pay for them, then send in the coupon and be reimbursed... The problem with this is that the coupon book clearly states all I need to do is present the coupon and they will take care of the payment. Further, on the back of the coupon is the instructions for the dealer to send it in.
I explained to the service advisor this wasn't acceptable and he said the service manager had made the decision and it was final.
I asked to speak to the service manager, and he confirmed everything I had been told and again told me he had made the decision.
So I called Kia and I was told they should have accepted the coupon and that the woman I spoke to had never heard of a dealership not accepting the coupon.
I filed a complaint with Kia and she said she would contact the District Manager and the Dealership.
I now have contacted Roper Kia in Joplin and they will gladly accept the coupons, but now I have to drive 50 miles each way to do it...
I told the service advisor and the service manager I will no longer do business with Youngblood Kia (and this is after leasing two Stingers and a Telluride from them)
