Good riddance to rip offs like Marine Evolutions.

Good riddance to rip offs like Marine Evolutions.
I have an older more modest boat like many and got decent service for a decent price from Doug at Alexandria Marine
What I got from this outfit was an $810 bill and nearly 3 percent credit card charge which I wasn t informed before I arrived (are these charges legit? I wonder what Visa would think?)
Not only that but I brought my boat in on June 1, then after 10 days I didn t hear from them I called and was told they had not triaged my boat and couldn t give me an estimate. About one month later I get a call saying my boat was ready (no estimate too) and an invoice was send with parts costing less than $30 dollars(for spark plugs, fuel filter, sierra kit) and a whopping $780 in labor charges!
I don t know about you but at $135 hour I expect quicker, more knowledgeable service to quickly address the problem(s)
If you got and older boat and you re not made of money I suggest you take your boat somewhere else hopefully to somewhere it does not take half the summer to fix it!
