It has its downsides but you can't avoid some of that while being in the center of a big city. The elevators take a while to reach you, the bathrooms aren't very pleasant, and you'll likely come across disruptive people from time to time but make no mistake, this is easily one of the best libraries in the city and has a huge amount of resources. I'd also recommend the CPL app. It's saved me a few wasted trips and it's very easy to renew and hold books.
