I want to give another half star but am unable to do so. This is like the All Star Movie & Sports resorts. The differences are the decor and the menus. I do not know why anyone would consider staying off-site, as these hotels are often less expensive! It is always best to stay in the park. One, perhaps the only, downside involves the bus stops for the All Star reorts. At the park, the stops are the furthest from the entrances. It is not a big deal to me-it is a great way to burn calories consumed during the day... I think the music resort menu need to be better. The other All Star hotels have a better selection of food. There has been a change towards so-called health foods replacing traditional menu items. However, guests can eat anywhere meaning they can eat at one of the other hotels on the grounds. I usually eat only breakfasts at the hotel, and love them. The lunch menu used to be MUCH better and I am disappointed by that. None of the menus do change often so plan to have the same one your entire stay.
The hotel is clean and the beds are comfortable. The pillows are not! I love the way the resort looks. The All Star Resorts are the only ones that are Disney themed, so guests get the Disney park feel for the entire stay. My daughter complains when we stay at the moderate-priced resorts because she does not feel like we are in Disney! The pools in Music are nice, though they can be cooler than expected. They are clean, which is important. The main pool is larger than the guitar shaped pool, which I always find to have fewer people. Every time I have stayed here housekeeping has not come early. Sometimes they seem very late. I see the maids early in the day, so I assume the reason for the lateness is the rotation- I think I am always put in a room that is at the end. This bothers some people, though not me. I find early maid service disconcerting. I do not know why anyone has written negative reviews about this hotel. It is not a luxury hotel, and is not advertised as one.
