We were very lucky that we walked in the doors about fifteen minutes before a (only the 16th!) tour of the pressing floor. The guide Jaime was extremely knowledgeable not only of Third Man Records (both as a label and manufacturer) but also of industry standards. He was perfectly nerdy about the science of pressing vinyls and excitable about the upcoming releases, and in addition to this surprise and pleasant tour, the storefront flaunts its quirky yellow-black aesthetic with such rock-'n'-roll confidence you can't help but be enamored and slack-jawed at the live recordings, decor, and offered merchandise. Absolutely plan your visit around tour availability!
