Made an appointment for 4:00 to get oil changed and tires rotated. Arrived on time. Over time, everyone in the waiting room was complaining about how long it was taking to get their car serviced. At about 6:00 I asked about it and was given the excuse that there were many people without appointments and they were causing delays for the people with appointments back. The message from that: If you make an appointment, you'll go to the back of the line behind the people with no appointments. I miss the logic of that.
They finally finished up at around 6:20, and the service advisor admitted that my car had been overlooked and just sat there for maybe an hour and a half until they realized it. Frustrating, but accidents happen. He told me that he would offer me a discount for my inconvenience. At first I thought he said 15%, then later I though he said 50%. In any event, when I went to pay I asked the cashier if the discount had been applied. He said that no, no one had told him about a discount, and there was none applied. He asked me how much of a discount, and I said 50%. Then he said that I had already received 50% off because the bill should have been $110 and it was $55. I told him that there must be something wrong, because an oil change and tire rotation should have been in the $55-60 range. He said there had been several additional items added on. Now I was really aggravated. Eventually, it got all straightened out. But the net result is that I walked in as a happy customer and walked out as a customer.
