Paid for BH-Travelex Insurance on a 3-week trip for my wife & I.
My knee got injured at end of week 1 and rather than try to continue trip on crutches and uncertain medical outcome, I returned home. My wife continued overseas trip. I was reimbursed for my individual nonused travel tickets after about 4-weeks. However, I flew home on a Saturday, and went to a 24-hour rapid care place for exam and xray ($125) on Sunday, prior to seeing my orthopedist on Tuesday. I ended up needed surgery & PT on my knee, total out-of pocket cost to me >$1500. I only asked for reimbursement of my emergency visit of $125. Agent said because I had returned home for care, even though it was in the middle of my insured trip, even $125 was denied. Ok for travel reimbursement, poor on medical.
