I recently completed a brief convention staffing engagement with J. Kent Staffing representing the Council on Social Work Education held at the Downtown Denver Sheraton. From my view the event went off without a hitch. I enjoyed the attendees, the entire registration process, as well as the other staffing members on the team. Many Council members who were checking in upon arrival commented that our check in procedure and proper amount of staff available made the process simple and seamless.
I believe J. Kent has the reputation and available resources to conduct many more convention style and not-for-profit events, and could very well prove to become a sweet spot and area of expertise. Additionally, I appreciated that they require the proper identification credentials to satisfy the E-Verify standards put forth to ensure documented workers in the US.
My only recommendation would be a stipend or added income allowance for parking or public transportation for future events that are held in venues that require paid parking. I look forward to being invited to future events, and better yet, contracted to find future events from a sales and project management stand point (my area of expertise). Finally, another added touch would be a catered social at the office to recognize the members on the event team. Let s face it, everyone enjoys being acknowledged.
