On March 6th 2020 my father chose to celebrate his 74th birthday at Cafe Michael and he didn't enjoy his birthday dinner. The Cafe Michael dining experience was terrible. He arrived on time for his 6pm reservation (which was booked days in advance and the fact he was celebrating his birthday was communicated at the time of booking) and he ordered prime rib as well as dinner for Mom.

Unfortunately, he didn't get any food for 1 1/2 hours so my parents decided to leave but when they got to the coat area the waitress came out of the kitchen with their food so they decided to go back to the table and eat. For my father's health (bs) it was important to eat.

The prime rib had grill marks on it which isn't normal and they never received the extra stuffed potato or garlic bread they'd ordered. No one came back to the table to ask how the dinner was and when they were paying for their meal and commented that their dinner wasn't a good experience. The cashier offered $5 dollars off and commented that the server said they were rude. Outrageous. Now I can believe that during the extended wait for dinner they complained that the food was taking too long but that's not rude.. that's the truth. The whole family was waiting for them for after dinner cake and at first we thought they must be taking time, having a wonderful time but a text came back at 7:20 pm that they hadn't eaten yet.

We've enjoyed family celebration dinners at Cafe Michael for years and I personally have been a loyal supporter of their establishment but I'm disappointed to hear of my parents terrible service and treatment and especially considering the occasion.
