For the last 24-36 hours i have been on the phone...

For the last 24-36 hours i have been on the phone constantly to asda customer services regarding an order that wasn't delivered yesterday (6th May). I placed the order on Thursday night and booked the delivery time 1-3pm. I am disabled so have to make sure that delivery times coincide with my carer being here. 3pm came and went with nothing. I phoned customer services around 3.40 to ask where my delivery was. Was told it was on it's way. By 5pm still no shopping or correspondence. I phoned again. This time I was put on hold with no reason given for 15 minutes. I cut the call and phoned back. i was told that the driver couldn't find my address so he tried ONE of the THREE contact numbers. What an imbecile!!!!. He had chosen a number as a mobile that started with 08. A number that i DID NOT put on my account.. I asked what happens now and was told that i would have to reorder my shopping with a different delivery time although they couldn't process the current pending amount for another 7-10 days!! And then to refund after taking the money from my bank. I, like many others here, can not afford to do this. 2 payments for 1 order. Mmmm??!!

I checked my delivery details ie; address. My address was correct but the postcode was wrong. I explained this to the woman on the end of the phone and she said that the details that i gave her were correct. I argued that they weren't and gave her the right postcode. If the driver had noticed and checked, he would have found this to be true. I have shopped with Asda online home delivery for the last 8 years and have NEVER had this before. It seems that Asda had updated their website but had somehow managed to mess up all personal details, address and phone number. I argued why the driver did not try another number out of the 3 offered. Was told that he did and that none of the numbers existed. Absolute rubbish.





So at this point we are no further forward, no shopping and no pending refund for another 7-10 days. I will NOT be using Asda any more. I'm going to Morrisons and hope that they will be better in the delivery AND customer service departments.
