One or more pluses could be added to the five stars.
After three week with a cough I promised my wife that I'd go to Sansum if I didn't feel better this morning. I didn't so I did. I got the Sansum ap that allows one to see the waiting time. I went in the afternoon when it was estimated to be 1/2 hour. It was less. The the routine measurements I was seen by Cagnbe Henrikisen, PA-C. She was patient, careful, deliberate and thorough.
A characteristic I've come to associate with a good doctor, is both the willingness and the ability act unhurried and to allow the doctor-patient conversation to drift a little bit away from strictly diagnostic question. I think, at least in some instances, a good clinician can learn from unstructured conversation what it would take a thousand yes/no questions to discover. Moreover, when the doctor invests what appears to be a little extra time, she gets a sense of how to talk to the patient in a way that increases his confidence in the treatment and increases the probability of compliance with whatever the treatment plan happens to be. I don't know if Ms Henrikisen was having a slow day or a busy day, but she took all the time I needed to get the sense that I had been well cared for.
The initial measurements were done in one room and then I was taken to a treatment room to see Ms Henrikisen. Diagnosis required an Xray so was taken from the treatment room to the Xray room and then back to the treatment room. Altogether I saw three different health care providers. All were friendly, professional, and efficient. I was at the clinic for about 2 hours, which was somewhat longer than I expected but it was time well spent; I don't think this kind and level of medical care can get better.
