Thursday morning I was in excruciating pain, and I drove to Union Hospital in Dover. Once I was there, they said that there would be a 7 hour wait. This lady sitting in the waiting area, said that she had been there 8 hours . My pain level was off the charts, I was really hurting, plus I was throwing up as well. I drove to my Moms house, and took a couple of Tylenol and slept for a couple of hours!! Thursday afternoon, the pain started flaring up again Thursday afternoon, so this time I decided to go to Stat Care. Once I was there, they said that I had to go to the hospital, that they couldn t help me. So once again, I drive to Union and it was the same story 7-8 hour wait. So I decided to drive to Pomerene in Millersburg, and once I was there, I received the best care. I was in a room in the ER within 1/2 hour, they started a IV, did a CAT Scan, and discovered that I had kidney stones. I stayed Thursday night, and was released on Friday afternoon. I did pass a stone while I was there. My midnight nurse was Kevin, and I had Eric during the day on Friday. They both were so caring. I know that Pomerene has the Daisy Award and I would nominate both of these young men for that award. They are both in the right profession!! Thank you a billion times over. The staff was absolutely top notch. From the ER Doctors and Nurses, to the Floor Nurses, and dietary the Nurses Aides, Housekeeping, the floor Doctor who released me, and the Pharmacist, who explained my medications and the side effects. If I ever have another emergency, where I need to go to the ER, it will be Pomerene!! God Bless all of you!!
