Our trip started wonderfully when Jack, the shuttle driver, picked us up at the airport. This man was hilarious, kind and a real genuine person. I was on a video call watching my son test for his next belt in Karate when Jack and the other passengers began rooting for my son. This put me at ease because I was already feeling like a bad mom for missing my son's test. (The announcement for the belt test came after the flight/concert tickets/hotel reservations.) As my mom and I arrived at the hotel, Jack got the attention of Craig, the other shuttle driver, and asked him if he could transport us to the Park Theater later that night. Craig said it wouldn't be a problem. Immediately my mom and I felt relieved.

My mom and I checked into the hotel without any problems. The front desk personnel were friendly and courteous. The lobby was clean and stylish.

When we got to our room, we noticed how clean everything looked. The room looked comfortable and well appointed. We had fresh towels, clean linens, and a large tv. I have no idea if the TV worked or what channels the hotel had because we didn't turn it on. There was also an oversized chair in the room that was quite comfy.

Later on in the afternoon, my mom and I decided to use the shuttle driver, Craig, and head over to the Park Theater. Craig dropped us off at the front of the Park MGM, it's attached to the Park Theater, explained the different restaurants and how to pick up a Lyft/Uber driver etc.

After the show, my mom and I grabbed a Lyft from the back of the Park MGM back to our hotel. We had a good night's sleep, although I wasn't a fan of the firm mattress and thin pillows. My mom on the other hand felt the bed and pillows we're perfect for her.

Breakfast was quite good and a decent variety. The sausage was amazing, but the eggs were just ok. There was also yogurt, waffles and cereal.

We were fortunate enough to have our shuttle driver, Jack, take us back to the airport. When I saw Jack I enthusiastically told him my son had passed his belt test and Jack was very proud. Jack told me to tell my son he said congratulations. Jack, my mom and I chatted the entire way back to the airport. We also discovered our families are mutual friends in California. Small world!!

Overall our trip was fabulous and we will definitely stay at the Hampton Inn Tropicana again.

A piece of advice to everyone; the shuttle drivers work off of tips!! Bring cash!!
