We came to Sundance because of the 5th grade passports for our kids. Used Liftopia for our passes because while Sundance is closer in size to Beaver or Nordic Valley, it's prices are in the range of the bigger Cottonwood Canyons resorts.
We arrived early, which helped with parking. The Red lift was closed for a maintenance (broken) issue, and didn't open until 3 to 3:15pm! As this is one of their fastest lifts, servicing the highest peak, and half the blue terrain, this put a LOT of pressure on the main front lift and the only other back mountain lift. Crowds wouldn't have been so bad though if the lift operators had utilized better lift management skills and made sure every seat was filled on every chair, instead of allowing 2 to 3 riders on a quad, or allowing kids to use the singles line to still go 4 at a time with their buddies but jump the line.
As far as snow quality, it was decent, but not as nice as I'd expect for 3 days after a major storm. Terrain was okay; we had the most fun runs once Red lift opened for the last hour, but then a storm also rolled in and cut down visibility.
We didn't try the food truck (high priced, and we bring our own), and I didn't see much in the way of a lodge to go inside near any of the lifts.
