First visit because I have to make the decision to put Kaya my 11 y/o Akita service dog to sleep. My regular vet at Baldwin Harbor Animal Hospital, has been very very good to me all these years. I have always trusted them. But I still needed a second opinion. I was referred by a friend from NYPD to call them when he saw how upset I was. Not only were both Vets there understand, along with the staff. The place is very clean in the waiting area and exam rooms. The other patients sitting there were also comforting and consoling.
They are busy but I didn't mind the wait. I know the time is near, but I did have some x-rays done. I was given a fair price because She had to be Sedated for what was done. Friday I will get final results. Still I did it more for peace of mind. Cause looking at her right now at home. I think she knows its time. Also they gave me one of those slings to hold her up when I try to walk her.
