Extremely poor communication between staff led to us wasting our time and money.

Visited this evening with my friends to watch the basketball game. We asked the hostess beforehand if they could show the game and the hostess said yes. After being shown to our table, we told our waitress again that we were looking to watch the game, and she said they would change the TV to the game. She took our initial drink order and they still hadn't changed it to the game. One of my friends checked in with the waitress again and she said that she isn't the one who changes the TV. My friend then asked the bartender and he followed by saying they won't be changing it to the game. The whole point of coming for dinner was mainly for the game.

The waitress clearly didn't care whether or not they could/would meet our request, because she came back asking if we wanted more drinks and food. Extremely upset because I ended up paying for something I didn't even get to finish.
