Updated to one star- reason? The $500 deposit that they took for a car that was "no longer available" still hasn't been refunded to me. It's been a week. Where is my money???

If it weren't for the friendliness of the salesman I worked with, I would leave a one star review.

I started talking to him via text, as I was at work. I live in Longmont, and they are located in Highlands Ranch. I started talking to him on a Tuesday. I expressed my interest in a Cadillac that they had. The first night we talked, he told me we were fine, and could reconvene in the morning, as the car hadn't been sold and was safe. The next morning, he got back to me with numbers, and I asked if I should put the $500 deposit down, and if I could apply for financing online. He told me how to apply. I applied immediately, and got the approval. I told him again that I wanted to put the $500 down, and he said to call him. I did immediately. I put the $500 down and arranged with my husband to go get the car that evening. I got a text from him 2 hours later, letting me know that someone else had sold the car. There was obviously no communication throughout the dealership. He never offered to find me a different car (even though I was approved for financing, and gave money). All he said is that he would refund me right away. My husband and I both got hits on our credit for nothing, which we are very particular about. I was so disappointed in how the end was handled.

I ended up going through a different dealership, getting a year newer Cadillac, got more for more trade-in, and was treated like I was important.
