The California Cat Center in Van Nuys, CA has been a huge help to me when I travel and need to have my cat taken care of. It is like a vacation retreat for my sweet kitty. I never worry about him when he is there. California Cat Center is owned by a vet, and run by the most caring individuals I've ever met. The staff makes every attempt to meet the needs of their furry guests, including meal requests, feeding a cat it's own food, medications, etc, without extra fees. Grooming options are available for basic fees. My cat has been there at least six times, and he LOVES it. There are basic rules, such as being up to date with vaccines, and cats are not allowed to interact with each other unless they are part of the same family. The cats stay in condos, and a cat can roam in an area, as long as there are no other cats out in the same area. There are rolling cages of finches, water fountains, iPods playing nature sounds, many plush areas to rest on, and an outdoor enclosure.

I highly recommend the California Cat Center, and you can call ahead to tour the facility before bringing your kitty there to stay.
