We haven t been to Majestic for quite sometime. This time round, food was good but service was spotty initially. We booked the private room. After we were shown to the room, we were left alone for a good 10 minutes. Nobody came to attend to us till we went out to grab a wait staff. The (female) service staff appeared unhappy and unwilling to talk. It was unpleasant dealing with her till I asked if they are short-handed. She did not give us suggestion on whether the food we ordered for 8 pax were enough. In the end, we over ordered.

The overall vibes given by the staff is that quite a handful of them are not too pleased. This is unlike the other Chinese restaurants we patronise regularly. The initial dealings with the staff and lacked of service left a sour taste in my mouth.

Majestic management (Chef Yong) should look into the welfare of the staff to see how it can improve the morale and service standards of the staff.
