We had a company come out and install a central air unit, and furnace in 2016. I called the installing company and told them that the air didn't seem to cool down the rooms at the back end of the house. The installer did some wrapping of some duct work, and said this is the biggest home unit they have, and so we got, what we got, for cooling in those far away rooms. I figured that the same must apply to the heat, so I haven't said much to the Service One techs when they come to service the furnace yearly. This time, the Service One tech asked me how the heat was working. I advised him that it could be better. He advised me that the furnace is a 2 stage and is currently set up in single stage. He fixed the furnace to where it is now using both stages. It has much more air pumping through it, and a lot more heat. Before it was luck warm air coming out of the vents. We would have to use the fireplace to take the chill off in the house, and use heaters in the bathrooms before showers. Now it seems to keep up, and even shuts down when it gets up to temperature. Before it run almost constantly all winter. This Service One tech did an awesome job of checking the furnace and pointing out a potential problem. Wish we would have gotten this tech back in 2017 on the first anual check of the furnace, and we wouldn't have had to suffer the inconvenience of a sub par unit, which is now an awesome unit, now that it runs up to its potential. I forget the techs name, but the company should look it up and make sure he gets this message about how happy we are with his service call.
