We pick hotels by comparing and looking at prices and amenities. So we picked this hotel based on it's website to make our anniversary complete. Our expectations were dashed. The pool and hot tub were closed for planned upgrades (why not on the website?). Then instead of the free breakfast, we were asked to sign for a $2 surcharge for breakfast. The desk clerk explained that management has just started this. We almost went to another hotel, but it's late, right. So we decide to go to our room on the 5th floor only to find that the elevator isn't working. We find another and get to the room. It is big, but the air conditioning is on so it's really cold. It's only 20 degrees outside! They have tried to put newer furnishings over an old building, but it's still shows. Our expectations were dashed.
