Hyatt Regency Denver is a great place to stay, especially if you are attending a conference or event at the Convention Center. I attended the Digital Summit Denver held at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House and although the map made it look like a long walk, it was surprisingly close! Plus, you get to walk right by the big blue bear!

The hotel is a very well-maintained older hotel and the staff was friendly and accommodating. My bed was comfortable, bathroom serviceable, and there are plenty of eating options in the hotel. If you're skittish about being out after dark (as I am), this is a major plus.

This is also a SUPER easy get-to from the Denver Airport. Take the light-rail from the airport to Union Station, then board the free 16th street mall bus. The bus drops you about a block from the hotel...right at a Starbucks!

Be forewarned though, if you are afraid of heights/elevators, request a lower level room. I was on the 26th floor and I swear I think that bay of elevators free-falls from 22 to about 5. Kind of fun if you like the old Tower of Terror/new Guardians of the Galaxy ride at Disney, but not for the elevator averse.
