You need to change your name to Animal WE DON T Care. Your business name is Animal URGENT Care - and your website says that you are an EMERGENCY vet. I called with an emergency (my dog was having violent seizures) at 9:26 pm on Friday, June 14 and was told that the last appointment was at 9:30 and that I couldn t get there in time from Martins Ferry. It s approximately a 10-minute drive. Instead, I got referred to PVESC in WASHINGTON PA. which, is over 45 minutes away. By the time we got to Wheeling Tunnel at approximately 9:40, my poor dog was having continuous seizures. My husband drove 85 mph with lights flashing to get him to PVESC all the while my baby was in continuous seizure thrashing and gnashing his teeth in my arms while covering the inside of the car and me with drool, foam from his mouth and urine. By the time we got to PVESC his temperature was so high that it didn t even register. They got him sedated and his seizures stopped but the report was grim. The vet said that the high temperature most likely fried his brain and that we could do hospitalization, testing and some treatment to determine to see if he would even respond to further treatment. We opted for humane euthanasia as he had already suffered way too much and chances were slim that he would ever recover any quality of life. If I had unlimited funds, I would sue you to change the name of your business. You are not Animal URGENT Care. You are NOT an EMERGENCY vet. You could have seen my dog to at least alleviate his suffering but we did not fit into your time frame by 6 minutes. HE SUFFERED HORRIBLY. Your hours say you are open to 11:00 there is nothing on your website about your last appointment being at 9:30 that is FALSE ADVERTISING. You are an after-hours vet at BEST and from the other reviews I ve read I don t think you are much of a vet service at all. Could you have saved my dog? Maybe, maybe not, but you could have alleviated his horrible suffering and chose not to see us. You really shouldn t even be in business because YOU DON T CARE. I wish I could give you ZERO STARS because that is what you deserve.
