A little old school but fine for sleeping. The room was a good size and everything worked. As I type this, I wonder when the basics became compliments. All hotel rooms should be a decent size and everything should work and be clean. This was that. But it felt dated and a bit like an old school hotel room. Basic. The Crabtree Evelyn soaps and shampoos don t smell wonderful and the room didn t feel artsy or plush. I m at a crossroads with Hilton. The rooms, in general, feel older and out of style but the prices aren t less than some of the hipper hotels, so I m drifting away from them. The restaurant has marble top tables and uniform 90s feeling chairs with booths that you sink into when you sit down. I m just not feeling energized or happy by the decor. And while ok is certainly good enough, I prefer the hotels where I leave refreshed and happy and ready to tell my friends about what a great hotel stay I had. I dunno...maybe I m asking to much. This hotel is fine, depending on the price. It s close to LAX so it s ideal if you need to be at the airport.
