This was my favorite winery in the Yarra and I took my friends and some visitors from OS and interstate who appreciate wine to experience the celler door. Ive always had great service and loved the times Ive visted so was quite upset this time when we we're treated so rudely when we arrived.
After being told they we're busy the lady said she would allow 6 of us to taste even though normally 6 needs a booking. The others had to wait outside, we thought at that point to leave but the wines are great so we stayed.
We we're rushed through the tasting, not explained anything about the wine and genuinly made to feel like we were worthless.
I went with the intent to add to my current collection of Yarra Yering wines im cellering but after what happened I was embarrassed I had recommended the winery and told everyone how amazing it was for them to be made to feel so horrible. Its the first time I've left without buying anything and now my wines im saving for special occassions in my collection suddenly dont seem to have the good memories they once had. I may go back and hope its just this one particular lady but its made me sad for a winery I once loved so much.
