Went in today to look at new cars. It was not busy and they had about 6-8 sales people/managers hanging out in the lobby. Our sales rep, Luis was super nice and friendly. He went above and beyond to help us. We wanted to get a trade in value and it was taking forever. Finally, they showed us the value but did not take a single penny off their new car. We just walked away. At that point, a big guy who maybe the sales manager asked what he can do. Too little too late buddy! They were not the most professional group in the world (except for Luis). We had just left the Lexus dealership across the street and an hour prior, we were at the Ford dealer. Both were professional and we never felt uncomfortable. Toyota of Grand Rapids has gotten so big, they have no clue and they don't care anymore about their customers.
We have been driving Toyotas for over 15 years. I will not return there for a new car or for service. I will be taking my business to Crown in Holland or MyAuto Imports in Muskegon. They will appreciate me more and I am sure they are more willing to work with us on buying a new $40K car.
