This was my worst experience with a drs office. I went to ER 8/19 for the extreme sciatic attack. ER recommended I see a specialist but did not have one to refer. So we followed up with primary who referred us to this office. My wife explained I was in severe pain and having great difficulty walking and first appointment was 11/9. I asked for something sooner and receptionist asked if I was looking for surgery. NO , looking for injection as in the past. There was a cancellation so she booked me with a dr carter. His PA attended first and seemed to be pushing surgery when I voiced my desire for injections. She then said dr carter doesn t do injecting. So DUH why was he our dr? He showed up shortly after with an attitude and was dismissive of my concerns.
Now remember this is an ortho dr where most likely every patient is there for pain and recovery. Yet 3 times the receptionist called me to desk . Fortunately my wife was with me and could do the paperwork etc . You d think this office would be concerned for patients and save them from up and down trips multiple times by delivering or requesting documents.
I wouldn t recommend anyone go to this office. They couldn t access my ER CT scan or other medical documents so they d need to do all new testing and increase billing options. In addition they don t work with Augusta University. They push surgery and sure had an attitude with me as a patient , a patient who isn t interested to being this office s newest cash cow.
