My partner and I stopped into the Ealing Park Tave...

My partner and I stopped into the Ealing Park Tavern yesterday having read a flourish of positive reviews on google. What a terrible experience we had.

I personally ordered the olives, refried chips, mac and cheese croquettes and cauliflower dish with the manager. Unfortunately due to a confusion in the kitchen we were served a mixture of mac and cheese croquettes and beef shins. As a vegetarian of 12 years you can understand my horror when biting into beef shins! I'm not sure how such an error arises, nor am I sure at how effectively the staff managed this.

What started out as round about apology from the manager then turned into complementary drinks (which we never received, not that they would have been satisfactory) followed by an incredibly frustrating attempt at an apology and a rather insulting comparison of being served a Heineken when you ordered Budweiser (in no circumstance is this comparison relevant and is insulting) further to this we endured the managers lengthy, irrelevant explanation whilst the rest of the food we had paid for went cold.

I have personally taken a moral decision to choose not to eat meat for 12 years and under the control of this restaurant ate beef, had this been down to allergies or religious beliefs maybe it would of been handled different.

The whole situation was handled terribly, I was directed to email the managing director, which I have to no response.

Truly disappointing and not what you would expect at a highly rated pub.
