Ordered an item September 9 and are still waiting ...

Ordered an item September 9 and are still waiting for you to receive an item that was originally supposed to be shipped ready September 17.
It has been postponed to October 17, a full month. Although the date is uncertain, postponing a whole month is unacceptable
