The care I received twice at MCE was good. However, there business department is mediocre at best. First I received a colonoscopy and the billing department billed it as six different procedures instead of cancer screening. They then threatened me with a collection agency and to keep the collection agency at bay, I made several payments totalling several hundred dollars as I was trying to straighten this whole thing out. My insurance company said it was supposed to filed as "routine cancer screening" and they billed it incorrectly. I went to the business office in person and they argued that the billing submitted was correct. Meanwhile I contacted the insurance company again and they "audited" the bill. In September last year they said they would refund monies paid in and I'm yet to see this. (July 2016) I made contact telephonically with the business office again and now they claim their holding the funds due to a recent bill submitted for routine blood work (lab), that Enterprise Express Care (affiliated with MCE) sent them, instead of sending it to a regular lab that charges a normal amount. The hospital billed my insurance Co $4333.70 for 3 vials of blood, consisting of 7 tests!!!! Ludicrous, to say the least. Very disappointed and I'm waiting for the business office to get back with me, however I believe an Attorney is going to end up making some money, since I'm tired of blood-thirsty leaches!
