I was apprehensive reading the reviews. Fortunately, they turned out to be a bunch of nonsense and frills. Compared to other hotels on the island but mainly in Laganas, this is the best situated hotel I have seen. A great base for excursions. Cameo and Marathonissi in sight / walking distance. Turtle reserve towards Kalamaki. While on the beach, we are able to use the hotel's bar (25 sec. Walk).
At the bar, drinks, beer, ice cream, juices, water to the limit. Waiters so polite that it should be mentioned. The hotel service in general was great. Rooms clean, small, with air conditioning, TVP Polonia for those interested. Varied food! Even though the breakfasts are soooooooo delicious, there is so much choice that I have always eaten that much. Lunch and dinner always surprised with something new. The cook often serves dishes typical of Greece, so I can proudly boast that I have tasted gemista, souvlaki, pastitsio, dolmades, choriatiki and salata. People who complain about food are probably used to sheraton ... Desserts are super delicious, most of them very sweet.
I suspect that one day I will come back to Zakynthos, because it is a beautiful island. ONLY to Gardelli Resort.
