Terrible service. After waiting more than an hour ...

Terrible service. After waiting more than an hour to be seen, I was finally able to get into an exam room with my dogs, which are two Chihuahuas. My youngest, who has never exhibited any aggressive behavior at home or at the numerous other facilities/doggy daycares, nipped the vet tech while the vet was clipping his nails. This was after he was put through getting blood drawn, receiving all of his yearly vaccines and then having his ears cleaned and swabbed for cultures. Needless to say, his patience was over. However, I wasn't allowed to hold my dog as requested during the nail trim which resulted in him nipping the tech. I know my dog and I know when his patience is over. For a wound comparable to a papercut, I was not allowed to leave the facility and was told that they "had" to call animal control. After waiting for another hour and a half animal control arrived and said it was not a big deal and sent us on our way. During the period of waiting for animal control, I was treated with zero empathy. I understand my dog nipped someone but the staff basically told me that my dog would need to be taken away due to this issue. I was devastated. While my face was swollen from crying, I approached the receptionist so that I could at least pay my bill during the wait. I was ignored while another customer who was at the desk after me was taken before me. The receptionist told me word for word "its not my fault your dog bit someone". Thanks. Way to kick someone while they have tears in their eyes and are visibly distraught. I will never put my dogs through the stress of visiting this dirty, unclean clinic, with blood on the waiting room floor again and will definitely never put myself through this stress again either. I suggest you look past their low prices and find a better quality vet.
