Would 100% recommend Skydive Newport! Jumped for the first time at 9am on a Friday morning. The staff so was nice and the whole process went smoothly. When we got there we signed a waiver, watched a short instructional video, and I was up in the plane 15 minutes later.. I couldn't believe how quickly it was all happening! We went up in a small 4-person plane (2 jumpers and 2 instructors) and we had a group of 3 jumpers, so I ended up going up with a stranger. Even though I was separated from my friends, the instructors and my fellow jumper made me feel so comfortable and my friends got to watch me land in the spectator area.. pretty cool! I jumped with Jerry Van Rijsbergen.. he was awesome! The view from the plane was amazing.. Jerry pointed out Block Island and Martha's Vineyard and I couldn't imagine a prettier sight. Jerry also let me steer for a little bit and the landing went very smoothly! I did the still photo package and literally had the photos emailed to me 15 mins after we were on the ground. Got some really great shots that were fun to share with friends a family. Over-all, a really great experience!
