im a currently a student at le cordon bleu my experience here has been a good one, the school is very proffesional on what they do, my advise to you is make sure you want to do this for a career since it will require a large financial investment and dedication. dont get the impression that you will get out of lecordon bleu and become a head chef thats not what the school teaches , they teach classical french cooking and give you the fundamental skills needed to succeed. it will take years of cooking experience to eventualy become an executive chef. yes you will probrably get a low paying job at first but it will get better as you learn and grow in the industry. thats what the school teaches. now if you dont do your research its not the schools fault but in reality what employer would give you a restaurant with 18 months of training. if i you were a restaurant owner would you trust a student with your money?
