My Yorkie, Cici, had been sick for awhile, feeling weak and not eating normal. I took her to different vet clinics but was only prescribed antibiotics. The last clinic performed test and blood work and needed an ultrasound which was not available. They gave me a list of referrals for 24hrs emergency hospitals (supposedly) resulted in no availability. It was a Saturday. One hospital told me to bring the dog in first and if they consider it to be an emergency, they'll try to find an available doctor. That sounded silly and ridiculous! Finally, I called LIVS and they were kind enough to fit me in their busy schedule. Right away I drove there from Queens, a little further than I anticipated but well worth it.

The place was packed but roomy and the staffs were nice and courteous. After the ultrasound, a tech advised me to have my dog get surgery as soon as possible because of Pyometra. Cici was scheduled to have the surgery in two days at my initial clinic. So I called them and they didn't sound too confident due to other possible symptoms. That worried me!

I accepted a consultation with LIVS's Dr.Sung(great doctor, better than my own) and he was extremely informative and confident. There was nothing else to contemplate which provided me the decision to go forward. She is a part of the family. Cici is doing well as she use to be, eating and moving about. I'm so grateful to Dr. Sung and all the LIVS staffs for taking care of my dog. Thank you!
