Words would really not do justice to this landmark. The worrying this is that no one recommended this place to us as somewhere to visit. All my local LA friends never mentioned this place, but a google maps recommendation encouraged me to see it. Firstly, when you arrive and park (if you leave in 1 hour it's free parking, but you'll need a lot more just to scratch the surface), you'll go to the top of the building and a tram, powered by pulleys will take you around the mountains to the main centre. This tram ride is stunning and alone worth the visit. The centre itself is a shimmering, white palace. The architecture is otherworldly and yet somehow, familiar and classic all at the same time. It really is a sight to behold. The exhibits themselves are reasonably good (I'm a Londoner, we're spoilt when it comes to museums). Definitely one to see.
