Don't get me wrong. The hotel is grand. It's clean. The breakfast is ok, a bit samey for the week. Very close to awarding 4 stars but it just lacked character. There was no entertainment. The 'adult pool' most of the time had children in it and wasn't actively monitored by staff until mentioned by somebody. The floors of the hotel rooms were tiled which meant that furniture being moved was incredibly noisy. The 'sea view' room we got was unfortunately on the narrow end of the hotel which meant we were looking towards the bay instead of out at sea as you can see in the attached photo.

Everything in the hotel was at least twice as expensive as going somewhere else. We hoped by going 4 star we wouldn't have to pay 5 star prices so that was disappointing. Staff were very friendly and rooms were roomy and clean.
