Had an emergency very late a couple nights ago, my pup woke up from an almost-dead state (found her like that in the kennel) and started having a seizure, and she had been having some strange symptoms a few hours earlier.
The girl working the desk on that night, was extremely kind and friendly.
The vet working that night was dismissive and disrespectful.
Chalked it up to marijuana poisoning...
There is 100% no way that pup could have ever gotten into any marijuana at any point. But the vet kept saying it was from eating marijuana.
I tried to explain the situation, but he just wouldn't listen, and when I told him there is no way I can pay $2500 for a bunch of tests meant to detect marijuana... His tone went from irritable and ignorant, to dismissive and rolling his eyes.
Well, we managed to figure out the issue. The next vet took one look inside her mouth and knew exactly what it was.
She has this dangly little thing on her collar, a jewel, it kept getting caught in the kennel bars as she slept, kept twisting the collar tighter whenever she slept in it. Her brain wasn't getting enough oxygen ever time she would sleep in the kennel. Leading to some strange daytime symptoms.
Got rid of the collar, notified the company, problem solved.
I will never. EVER. Return to this place and I'll be warning everyone else.
