We attended Cassandra Wilson's show at the Blue Note last week. Having seen Ms. Wilson at a number of venues across the country, we were looking forward to seeing her in such an intimate, and historic, setting.

Unfortunately, our evening was marred by several factors.

1. We arrived 50 minutes prior to show time to secure decent seats. After waiting in line for 40 minutes, we were allowed in, only to find that people without reservations were let in before us, even though we had been waiting outside for some time. Having been to the Blue Note several times in the past, I realize seating is first come, first served; however, letting those who have just randomly shown up in versus seating the people who have been waiting in line for 40 minutes and purchased their tickets 3 weeks ago, seems misguided.
