The Hagia Sophia is a beautiful historical building which is not to be missed during a tour of Istanbul! It is currently being restored and I am sure that when the whole dome is visible it must be awe-inspiring. I found that there was less information available than in other attractions like Topkapi, so I think it would be worthwhile to get an audio guide our tour guide. We bought the museum pass that allowed us to see Topkapi, Hagia Sophia and several other museums. It was well worth the cost when we could skip the queues at each place. Definitely invest in one, especially if you are visiting in summer for a few days.
