PSR is a great place for people to come together to learn more about themselves and each other. The scouts learn teamwork and leadership skills as well as many other useful skills. But most importantly scouts and advisors learn that when one digs deep within & applies one's self they can accomplish what seems improbable/impossible. I almost blew a calf muscle. I had Rock Tape kinetic tape in the 1st aid kit. When I pulled it out to repair myself, the following quote was on the peel away paper: "Pain is temporary. Failure is forever." Very motivational quote. I was proud to be part of my nephew's trip and jonored that I was invited along. I encourage parents and extended family to participate in this life-changing / life enhancing experience. I promise, no matter the outcome, one will walk away with a new look on life.
