Toyota welcomed me and the waiting area was nice. I had a simple problem with my tire losing air slowly. On this visit I was told there was a small nail about an inch from the tire wall. This area would have been well within the steel band and a patch and plug would fix the problem. I was told this was not an area that could be patched since it was too close to the tire wall. When I asked them to show me, they could not find the leak. Unfortunately the tire was already put back on the car. I was told a new tire would be needed at a cost of $273, but the tires are not in stock so I would need to wait. I want the tire patched. It only has 7,000 miles on it. I left feeling like the goal was to stick me with the cost of a new tire rather than helping me with service that would meet my needs.
