King Saud University is one of the top 200 universities around the world according to the academic classification of world universities in 2013, 2014 [7] and 2019 [8]. QS ranked King Saud University 197 as the best universities around the world and 159 in science and medicine and ranked 159 108 in arts and human sciences [9] and the Spanish Webometrics classification gave the university 288th among all universities in the world for the month of January 2014, 42nd among universities in Asia, and first among universities in the Arab world [10]. King Saud University maintained its first position in the Arab world and locally. It is ahead of its nearest Arab university (King Abdulaziz University) by 106 centers [11], according to the "Spanish Webometrics" classification issued in January 2018.
