I brought my wife's bike into a local bike shop and the guy looked at it a laughed, said his minimum was $75 for a tune up plus parts. To his credit he recommenced the Reno Bike Project.. I brought the bike in and the next thing I knew I am in the back of the shop fixing her bile under the guidance of a very knowledgeable bike mechanic. I am not exactly handy, to say the least, but after an hour shared with 4 other people fixing there own bikes I walked out of there with a finely tuned bike, a little grease under my fingernails and some valuable knowledge on how to fix a bike at a fraction of the cost quoted by the bike repair shop. When I asked them how much I owed, I could not believe it was so low. Less than $10 The guy said "you can always make a donation? I gladly did..

Great experience, give them a shot.
